I want to mount my 6P to my AR and have been told to shock isolate the bezel. I was going to get a Z32 bezel, but wanted to retain the Pyrex lens so opted for the M2 bezel instead. I also decided the Z59 tail cap would work better since I don't plan to use a forward hand grip on the AR.
I then discovered the Luxeon conversions for the 6P and figure this would be a better option. Instead of shock-isolating the P60 lamp, just go with something that can't break and is shock-proof. That led me to the Lighthound G&P 3w, BOG 3w / 5w, and SureFire's KL3 G2.
I am trying to decide between my Luxeon options. The KL3 & BOG 5w come with replacement bezels, the 3w ones are drop-in. I want something close to the brightness of the P60 lamp with decent run time. I LOVE the KL3 run time, but I don't know if this beam is good for a home defense type of situation compared to the other options. I like the BOG 5w, but at 1 hour run time and less throw than the BOG 3w, I just don't know. How does the G&P 3w compare to the BOG 3w?
Seriously leaning toward the KL3 or 3w drop-in.
Any opinions appreciated!!!
