Arc lines?

Hi,
I've just recieved and Arc LSH-p, and have found that there are "black lines" in the beam pattern. These lines come from the hotspot out and there are two of them on opposite sides. Is this normal, or is it broken? Is there anyway to fix it?

That's normal. You are seeing an image of the wires that lead to the die of the luxeon.

It's normal. They are the wires that power the LED; they are magnified by the optics. I guess it's equivilant to a filamant image from an incandescant bulb.
