I'm expecting delivery of both of this products sometime next week. What should I expect as a comparision between the two lights?

In order, my priority is as follows:

1. Size.
2. Output power.
3. Runtime on single set of batteries.

I do not believe that the ARC-LS (or at least the two that I own SN003 and SN004) exceed 13 lumens output. I have compared the ARC-LS to the SureFire KL-1 Luxeon head on two different occassions, and they are so close, its nearly impossible to see the difference with the human eye. Note, the KL-1 does meter 8% brighter.

SureFires specs the KL-1 adapter head at 13 lumens

Where\how did you get a kl1?!?!?!

Mr Ted Bear, Did PK say when the L1 and L2 are coming out? What kind of LS bulb will it have?

1. M2 is a lot bigger (thicker) than the LS & has a pocket clip.

2. M2 is MUCH brighter. 65/120 lumens -vs- 12~13 lumens. They are designed for different tasks and work well together.

3. LS battery life is 5 hours with 2 AA lithiums, or cheapie alkalines & 3 hours with 123A lithiums or Duracell Ultra AAs. M2 is 20 minutes with P61 120 lumen LA & 60 minutes with P60 65 lumen LA.

Anyone know what's up with the cheap alkalines outlasting the duracell ultra alkalines in the LS? Is it burning much dimmer than with the ultra's?
