I found a red vinyl cap that is for the Black & Decker Versa-Pak battery. This battery is for a cordless screwdriver. Its intended purpose is to cover the battery contact to prevent shorting it out when it is not being used. As it turns out it does fit over the LS head (a little tight but cap stretches) and could be used to protect lense or to prevent pocket lint on lense if kept in pocket. If torch is turned on with cap on, it emits a nice red glow that will allow you some light without hurting your night vision.
