has anybody done runtime plots on these two? or even beamshots and comparisons of the color?

Of course if you are comparing 1-123 against 1-123; "Apples to Apples"...but let's not forget the versatility of being able to run the ARC LS on 2-AAs, more cost effective IMHO.
