Some of you might get a kick out of this (laugh at the newbie sort of deal). I've been very excited about doing a few seemingly simple mods including replacing the emitter on a sandwich and building a direct-drive 2AA module for an amber emitter.
One of the things that keeps going wrong is that the AA isn't curing. I thought at first, because I was using it in the garage, that it was simply too cold. So, brought it inside and it still isn't curing. So, I finally went to the ArcticSilver site to read the directions, and I realized I'm not using the AA adhesive epoxy, only the AA thermal grease!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif I ordered the wrong stuff from the shoppe, and this was after I went through the trouble posting this request. When I ordered it the AA grease was the only thing enabled - and I never realised there was a non-adhesive version. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
Oh well, live and learn.
