Are high drain batteries needed for most lights?

I am looking to buy some high capacity 18650 cells for my Nightcore MH2C and Eagletac D25LC2 and a couple other similar lights. Do I need high drain cells? Are there disadvantages to buying the ultra high capacity (3100 and 3400mH) cells ove rthe lower 2600s? Thanks!

I like Eagletac 3400 Mah. They seem to generally run a lot longer. They are expensive though $19 at goinggear and $21 on amazon: http://goinggear.com/eagletac-protected-18650-3400-mah-rechargeable-3-7v-li-ion-battery.html . And, of course, they are button top batteries, so they work in eagletac lights (can't use flattops in the eagletacs lights I have).

In multicell lights the 3400mAh have advantages in runtime. In single cell lights often the 2600mAh cells have advantages because of the higher voltage under load.
