Are Tritium Traser Glowrings Dangerous?

As far as I know, they're not dangerous enough to cause concern. Tritium is permitted in the U.S. in what's considered non-novelty applications. It's regulated as nuclear material, which it is. Regulations in the U.S. simply don't permit importing or manufuacting nuclear materials in novelty form.

The glass, plastic, metal hardware are the biggest hazard if you eat one of these.
Tritium emits the lowest level of beta radiation energy of any isotope (radiation doesnt get any weaker than this)

Tritium is considered mutagenic but the doses involved are bigger than you'd normally find in a glowring. It's of greatest concern to pregnanet women because fetuses are sensitive to just about everything. Tritiated water (tritium oxide) is apparently quite a bit more dangerous than tritium gas.

Glowrings are dangerous because the ladies love them. Having something that ladies want is a dangerous situation to be in.
For ladies to really appreciate Glowrings you need to show them in the dark. Ladies are dangerous in the dark.

Another dangerous thing about Glowrings is that they are addictive. You'll want more. Also, when the ones the ladies take from you break, the ladies will come back for more.
This involves ladies and unexpected loss of money. It doesn't get much more dangerous then that!!

I'm really disappointed with the X2's - I gave mine away and got some more normal ones.
The normal ones are brighter to my eyes.

ladies will kill for them my grandmas freinds all ask me if i will sell them on or two when i visit. i have to tell them that they are unavailable. i'm afraid i must say that i don't own a tritium betatorch and an orange gloring. uncle sam dislikes that we should own such large amounts of bottled radiation. it would be best if you didnt flaunt to your freinds that wat you own is contraband. Henry used to have one until the gov. "bought" it from him.

Ya know what? I felt the same way for a while. I had a green X2 on my keychain. I was showing it to a coworker and turned out the lights. Nothing. Zip. Darkness. Close examination showed that the H3 vial inside was broken. I dont know how.
Anyway, I prefer the shape of the X2 over the normal glowring so I decided to perform some surgery. After I got the cap off the X2, I discovered that the vial was super-glued to the inside of the tube.
I then proceded to remove the dead innards with a drill bit and some goo gone. Then I removed some of the cotton from a swab (Q-tip)so that it would fit in the tube pretty tight and polished it up with some chrome polish. No lines, no creases, no visable defects.
Next I filled the tube with 732 RTV, making sure that there were no air bubbles. I then removed the glow tube from a regular green Glowring, and inserted it into the tube and replaced the cap.
My "new" X2 looks like it is solid plastic with the tritium vial in the middle. You cannot even tell that it is full of RTV. PERFECTLY CLEAR.
I like it much more since its surgery. It seems much brighter to me than a regular Glowring.
