Just noticed on Armytek's website they posted actual pictures of the finished product. Looks pretty slick to me.

Thanks for posting this. I waiting for this one for a while. I was not expecting this optic though. Might be more floody than I expected. Hopefully the picture mean this will be for sale soon.

So Knight-Light

Is your test unit on it's way to you for review?

And will you give us some ongoing impressions rather than waiting to test it in different scenarios for a couple of months? :)

Five days ago Armytek said they were preparing the samples for shipment. Other than that I do not know the status.

There are a lot of fine reviewers on this forum that are very technical. My reviews are going to be slightly different. They are going to be more long-term in nature and thus incremental.

So I will first start with initial impressions and then add as the review progresses. So you will definitely see ongoing impressions and will not have to wait. Unless the light fails the 10 foot dynamic waterproof test (that’s one of the first things planned). :)

Im also in line for one. Im going to abuse it daily in the construction battlefeild, outdoor stuff and extreme sports. From -40c to 40c. Ill keep you guys posted.

I hope your review shows more outdoor beamshot. I really enjoy those beamshots. It gives me a real sense of how bright the light is after the environment devour a few lumen. Beamshot in a white room tends to make the lights look brighter even tho it does show the beam pattern and artifacts. I like outdoor beamshot more.

I don’t really have much skill nor the equipment for photography. I do however have friends and acquaintances that are into photography and I will try to get their help in doing some of these pictures. I was also going to leave the beam shots and the technical parts to other reviewers, and was going to focus on things other reviewers typically don’t do.

But I do understand where you are coming from and agree on how seeing a light perform on a white room tends to be totally different than in the outdoors.

Received an update from Armytek this morning. They will be sending a preproduction sample in "some days". :)
