Here's a totally fun topic to talk about: http://www.selfdefenseproducts.com/police/batons/triad.php
Discussions about ASP stuff go back to 2002 on this site, but not much since. The summary though is that ASP makes the most common retractable police batons, and they have a light that screws into the bottom of them. The Triad was an early flashaholic light, but doesn't have much presence these days as I can't find any reviews. It's got thick aluminum walls and a bright halogen bulb, so it sounds like a fun, if archaic, flashlight. So now I need a review of the ASP Triad! :lolsign: The Playboy-branded model sounds amazing to me as a collector's item
(I thought this post from 2002 was amazing to read: "The most serious drawback to having the ASP Triad/TAC light is that it fuels a the need to have more lights/torches." Jeez have I ever seen that sort of comment before )
And for bonus fun, a blast from the past in the form of an old Surefire light that functioned as a replacement for the Triad: https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/66657
