I had some stuff laying around, and decided to try if they fit together. The parts were:
-One Elly from DX
-One Asperic lens, 28mm from same vendor
-One G&P tactical bezel
-One SSC P4 U-bin star
I basically removed the stock star, lens, reflector and reflector-retainerring. I then put the Seoul-star in place with some thermal grease under it, with the stock star under it (turned upside down) to act as a spacer. I had to use some longer screws to make it stick.
I then assembled the G&P head without frontal o-ring, with the aspheric lens in place. Finally I wrapped the front-part of the Elly-head with some plumbers teflontape, and just screwed down the G&P bezel over it.
The focallength was pretty much perfect in this setup, and It projects a clear image of the LED-die on a white wall, approximately ten meters away. Outside it projects a beam that is practically useful for around a hundred meters, sadly there is no spill.
However, a nice mod to a cheap flashlight!
