Just an idea but thought it would be good for Australian members to know each other. In some sort of register with Name and state, this sort of thing may already exist in which case please direct me to it. The obvious benefits would be selling, trading, and lending lights, and information on sourcing lights. and other things that torch freaks enjoy. For instance I have recently done some stuff with pugga a great guy who does some amazing stuff with pistons. And being able to talk on the phone, and being able to overnite things through the post is excellent. Im sure there must be a heap of us here and a thread to keep us in touch and for older members to help out new aussie members could be fun and informative.
And if it is already here somewhere please let me know
Anyway My name is Tim I live in Brisbane I'm a carpenter and a knife and light nut look forward to knowing my Australian brothers and sisters.
Cheers

Wowzers Tim! Thats some serious Titanium! TWO Gatlights and a Ti Clicky? And is that an SR3 I see in the background? Good to see someone else with one.
Here's my modest family photo, I posted this in the 2010 collection thread earlier, so I hope its not against any rules to re-post here...

The SR3 has a home-built 18650 tube, and the aviator has one of Koala's Onion Rings on the way :twothumbs
Cheers,
Alex

Giday Bloke
Is Warragul near Wangaratta

Nup. But I'm a mad keen motorcyclist and Wang is a bloody good ride from my joint via Bairnsdale, and over Mt Hotham through Bright. It's about 460km that way. Just under 400km through Bonnie doon.

Go on, sing the "Goin' to Bonnie Doon" song in ya head. Ya know ya wanna :D

Did you make the tube yourself and i spelt Upwey that way first then changed it .

Yeah I designed and machined it myself, the chances of finding one of the stock tubes on the marketplace are next to none, and I had a bit of spare time and spare stainless steel barstock. The SR3 is a serious screamer on 18650!

Wow I'd love to see a beam comparison.
