Autobarn Melton TOMCAT ... XT019M

I Had 2 of these TOMCAT ... XT019M LED Flashlights from
Autobarn Melton... I know they are only $15 but they only last 3 to 4 months ,The Back switch is Faulty on them ...After a couple of months you have them , Warranty means NOTHING ...Rang up the people that bring them in .They said they were going to get back to me but they never did .
So once everybody has their $ money $ They don't care .Not even Autobarn

Iam saying this not because of the crap $15 its because of the
Inconvenience

So I recommend you buy these sort of Things from BIG STORES Like K Mart ... Big W Places like that were you know they have 12 months warranty .No questions asked .
Get a new one every week if you have to . If it cannot last at least 12 months it should not be on the shelf ....

I have just received a call from Tomcat who have tried make
contact with me , and told me that the Torch Tomcat XT019M.

Dose come with a 12 months warranty and they are kindly
sending me a New one in the mail, and will be letting Autobarn
Know That there are 12 months warranty on these TORCH,S.which are also sold by Kmart

Well done TOMCAT because they are the best torch's
on the market for the price.

They are built to a price-point not a specific standard, I know I've got one and they do have a flakey tailcap switch but at $10.00 (Kmart) including batteries they're not terrible value especially compared to the 9LED lights being sold for more...

BTW $15.00? you got ripped

i would suggest you get your facts correct before posting to open forums like this.
for a start these torches are only 10 buck at autobarn, just like anywhere else. of course they come with a 12 month warranty, but you have to have proof of purchase, just like anywhere else.
Kmart or bigW won't simply swap it over. they need proof of purchase as well.

What I was thinking was for a quick fix is to Inject some ..CRC With a suring at the back were the Rubber cover is which might keep it going
a bit longer What do you think.... M@elstrom

A friend of mine picked up one of their 3D LED versions a while back for about $15 and it only lasted 3-4 months until the spring got too soft and was unable to keep constant contact with the led.

But for $15 it's hard to beat in Australia

The Facts are correct ..... I do know what Iam talking about I had proof of purchase , they replaced the 1st one then the 2nd one went 2 months after that which was about 6 months all up They SAID No 12 month Warranty.....Lucky I received a call from Tomcat who read this post and told me that the Torch Tomcat XT019M. Dose come with a 12 months warranty and they kindly sent me a New one .

By the way ,this has nothing to do with how much they Cost ....They just have Crap Switch other wise they are Great :wave:
