Firstly i hope this is in the right section, if not i apologise:ohgeez:
Okay, where to start, yesterday i received my xeno E03, it took over a week to get to the uk, i ordered an AW 14500 the same day but that came from the uk, i have no other AA lights only Rcr123's so the battery sat in the drawer for a week.
My multimetre was not available at the time the battery arrived so i banged it in the charger to see if the light turned green to see if it was charged, the light was red, so i left it for 5 min most, my reason for this is i read that batterys when new are never stored at 100% charge.
Yesterday when the light arrived i put the AW 14500 in and EDC'd it, later that night i used it to repair a brake hose on a friends car, i have no idea how long it took but i would guess the light was on constantly for an hour on LOW.
I was suprised it lasted the night tbh but it lasted today aswell (light use, mostly playing haha) anyways whilst feeding the rabbit and 2 guinea pigs the light goes out leaving me in the dark.
I take it home and by now i have my multimetre so i chack the battery, im not sure precisley but it was around 2.5V so i go to charge it.
Now the bit im bothered about, my charging set up is a DSD charging bay and a NOKIA plug/transformer thingy, the last few times i charged my Rcr123's ive been sceptical about the chargers performance so i decide to monitor it.
Almost immediatley the battery is charging at 3.5V but i dont know how to measure amps, i check it regularly and it walks up to 4.10V volts, at this point i sit with it and moitor it closley, it walks to 4.26V, i turn away for a split second and when i look back and its at 6.2V then the same again and it shows 8.2V, confused i take it off charge and it reads 4.20V, BUT... the light was red always, so i put the battery back on charge, same again, 8.2V so i remove it and this time it shows 4.16V
Now im confused

Sorry for the LOOOONG post but can anyone explain this?
