This may be a really basic question, and I hope it's not too stupid to ask here. I have a "DSD charger for 16340 (CR123A) 18650 & 17670" - That's exactly what it says on the bottom of the charger. Can I also charge 18350's in this? I'm going to assume the answer is no, unless you guys know it's ok. Thanks! :)

You can charge the battery in this charger provided it meets the following requirements.

  • The battery physically fits into the charger.
  • The battery chemistry is compatible with the Chargers voltage output.
  • The charge current is not higher than .5C.

Yes you can. Also a 16340 is also known as RCR123 not CR123 (CR123 is not rechargeable).

I would invest $15-20 or so into a new charger. The DSD is not a proper charger is not CC/CV, and the CC stage is quite low (slow charge times).
