Batonlite, a blast from the past!

Okay,
Hope it's okay to boost my question, I made one about Batonlite modding over at homemade/modified:

So,
Anyone made any moddings recently to their Batonlites? Or anyone have any ideas, what would be an ideal led to use today.. I bet there's no drop-ins available though.
