ok guys so im kinda new to all of this and learning as i go. i just received my nitecore tiny monster, i also purchased some jetbeam 18650's and work great. i ordered 4 more batteries, different name brand just for back up, they are panasonic. not knowing any better or knowing whats what and learning as i go, i received them and they are a tab bit shorter than my other 18650's, therefor not making any contact in the tray of my nitecore, is there on easy way to fix this or no? also what would be the best battery for the best results.

also there flat on the positive end witch by emailing the seller, he told me they were for laptops and such. he wont do a return, and they wernt cheap witch im most mad about.

If you like to gamble, you could get magnetic spacers for each of them.

But, considering the fact that you are planning to use them in a $200+ light, I'd recommend that you ditch them and get quality cells, like AW's.

Heck, those new cells you got there don't even look as if they have PTC protection. And, especially for high-powered lights, protected batteries are an absolute must.

You shouldn't mix different capacity cells. You green cells are unprotected Panasonics. For such a high powered light, you want to make sure all your cells are protected to prevent overdischarging and ruining the cells. Since you already have 4 Jetbeams, I would recommend that you pick up 4 additional Jetbeam 18650s, so you're not mix and matching. I'm sure your unprotected Panasonics would sell very quickly on the CPF Marketplace.

Example of quality 18650s would be AW, Callies Kustoms, Redilast, and Eagletac. They all use the Panasonic NCR18650 cell with a protection PCB inside. Stay away from Ultrafire/Trustfire.

the jetbeams are still going strong with no charge since i got them, its been a few days and voltage is still the same. i ordered my tiny monster online and no lie it took about a month to arrive, but im happy with it so far

I just took apart a battery pack form a Dell laptop. Exact same cells.
