I travel a lot, and carry an A2 and an E2e.

I carry a pair of spare 123s just zip-tied together, in any pocket that doesn't have metal in it.

I also bring a Pelican case with cut-out foam from Battery Station in my carry-on.

Anyway I went to my trusty dealer I use Brightflashlights and got some pelican 1010s with precut foam for $12.00 each with 15 BS cells in the case for 1.05 a cell.

I buy some churchhill cigars that come in a little plastic one cigar case. one cigar case will hold 4 123's. I "vent" the case using a hot paper clip to make a small hole to allow any pressure build ups to vent. I use rubber gasket material punch cut with a piece of 5/8 copper tubing as the die, a 2 inch piece of tube and a hammer and just take a piece of scrap gasket and in 5 whacks you get 5 spacers. easy as pie.
