Battery drained badly in Fenix HL10

Hi

Has anyone experienced battery drained badly in Fenix HL10? I used new AAA alkaline battery in HL10 around the house at night in low mode for about 15 minutes and off it. Leave it for several days and use it again.....no light.... Check battery with multimeter, it reads 0.8 V!!!!!! Tried another batteries both alkaline and fully charged Eneloop...... same problem. Any idea???

The HL10 has an electronic switch. Parasitic current draw is supposed to be very low but it's possible that yours is defective and drawing excessive current.

Unless it switched on by accident, it definately sounds defective. There is parasitic drain, but it should take a good few years to drain a cell.

I remember how annoying that is since the same happened with my ra clicky. I sent it to hds and problem solved. But it was still a pain. Contact your dealer or Fenix directly if it's no longer under the warranty period.

I contact dealer in Thailand where I bought......they said I use bad battery....... It is Sanyo Eneloop AAA , August 2013. I insist them that the battery is new and I tried with other fresh Alkaline. Finally, they ask to send back to shop and they will send back to Fenix factory to check which takes few months!!!!!!....... My warranty expired June 2014..... How is the Fenix warranty applied to defect goods actually? Replace new one of send back to factory to investigate?

Dealer did test it and agree that switch is bad. He replaces new one for me. Great!!!!
