Battery Station vs. Panasonic CR123A?

I'm planning to buy some CR123A batteries for my lights from Battery Station, rather than the Surefires I usually get. My question is: they have the same deal for Battery Station batteries and Panasonic batteries, so which one should I get? I'm aware that they're most likely made in the same factory, but I've heard that that factory formulates their batteries a little differently depending on the customer. I've searched for an answer to this question, but all the information I've found isn't really useful for me since it's mostly data concerning the bad Battery Station batts that they had before they switched contractors. Thanks!

Well, Panasonics are 100% good, Battery Station's are supposed to be good but that's not 100% known. I'd choose Panasonic's, therefore.

While there were some "issues" with the old BatteryStation CR123 cells, the ones that are being sold now have not had any reported issues. They are made in the same factory that makes the Panasonic cells in the US, and when tested they show similar performance to the Panasonic cells.

I have no problems recommending the BatteryStation, Surefire, or Streamlight brands right along with the Panasonic brand.

I don't buy CR123's very often since I use rechargeables, but when I do the Battery Station ones are my first choice.
Battery Station has a CPF specials page. I think the BS batteries might be a bit cheaper there.

Gene Malkoff ships his lights with BatteryStation batteries and I have found no difference between Surefires and BatteryStation. I suspect they are all (including the Surefires) actually made by RayoVac.

I buy the Battery Station 123A batteries by the case. I have received several lights with Duracell 123A batts and I have not observed any performance difference between the brands. I acquired a few of the surefire brand batteries with Surefire lights. All did the job required of them.

Malkoff's and Elzettas come with battery stations.
Works for me.
Just bought 10.

And they are made in the Panasonic factory btw.
Saw that at flash light guide. So I bought 10 of those as well.

Battery Junction typically has Energizer and Surefire brands in addition to their house brand.

On sale, the Surefire batteries are less than $1.50 each. Not a bad price.

Also consider the purchase on a couple of the Surefire SC1 battery holders. They're pricey but completely waterproof and hold a spare bulb. I wrap the lanyard thru the holster of my Cr123 lights so that they are always paired up when needed.
