I am looking for a way to store some batteries. I would like to have a tube about 1.5 inches in diameter, about 10 inches long, I would like to store some AA and some CR123 without very much rattling. Any ideas? I don't really have any access to machinists tools, or I'd be thinking some kind of aluminum or steel tube with nylon or poly inserts.

This is just for 2 cells, I dont think it would work well with more but I took some old batts in a piece of heatshrink tubing and shrunk it just enough to make them stay securely but still easy to remove.
Maybe not what you where looking for but I thought I´d share it.
