I'm a newbie here so please forgive me if this seems to be stupid question for most of you.

I have recently bought an ARC LS along with a five pack 123. I'm wondering how to store the other cells once I open up the package to replace the spent battery in my flashlight. Is there a special way to store the rest so they won't drain while still unused?

Thanks in advance for any info.

They will retain almost all of their original charge for up to 10 years-if not stored in a hot environment.

All batteries will have greater shelf life when stored in a cool. dry, place. Keep change, wire, or other metal away from the batteries to prevent shorting them.

Thanks. Do they have to be stored in sealed air-tight containers or something similar?

If you put them in the refrigerator, place them in a sealed bag, but if you're storing them at room temperature you don't have to. The object is to keep moisture away from them.
