Batting cage lighting outdoors

Hello people, I'm new to this forum and need some suggestions on lighting my sons batting cage. I was thinking about getting two 400 watt metal halide lights and mounting them about 3-4 feet over the cage. The cage is 55 foot by 16 foot. The lights that I looked at on eBay looked nice. About 180.00 a PC. 39000 lumens each. Would y'all think that's enough?

What overall height over the ground would "3-4 feet over the cage" represent? I ask because that sounds uncomfortably low to the ground if it's less than 20 feet or so.

You will also need to consider light distribution - a 16 x 55' area lit by two lights on poles mandates specific patterns depending on pole height/location and desired light distribution. I'm going to guess that since this is a batting cage, the lights would be best located where the batters are standing pointed downrange so they can see the ball coming and any spectators can also observe.

I should disclose that I am hardly a lighting expert, nor do I play one on a youtube channel. Someone else may be able to offer more specific advice and/or ask additional questions to help with this project.

The batting cage stands roughly 12 feet tall. I was thinking about mounting the lights to a separate post on the outside of the cage. I have four vertical posts holding the netting roughly 19 foot apart( on one side of the cage). Was thinking about mounting the posts about ten to twelve feet from each end on one side and then angle the lights slightly or not depending on the brightness of the actual batting area. I basically want my son to be able to see the ball travel the length of the cage before it reaches him.maybe even 16 foot from each end would work. Just not sure if two light fixtures would work or if I should go with three
