Beam not so straight

My Wicked laser has had a beam that leaves the case at not so straight of an angle since I received it, is this a bad thing?
It doesn't seem to affect divergence or anything, but I just ordered that lens set from http://www.amazing1.com/laser.htm to fix diversion and I want them to align properly. How could I fix it?

Normally, this is not a problem whatsoever.
But with the external optics you plan to add, that could cause some problems. I didn't say it *will*, but it *COULD*.

Do you know what I'm talking about? If you are looking straight down the case the beam angles a few degrees to one side.

you need to re-align your optics can be a stressful job.
My thinking is if you own such of a device you should know how it works and simple alignment practices! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Well you see, I've directed my area of study towards the actual physics of this field, the proper mechanics will surely follow, considering I haven't had my laser apart yet.

I've read too much about "oh this snapped", or "it's not as bright now", from people taking things apart, just to dive in without the perfect know how. Therefore I've requested proper procedure so I too am not one of those complaining. Considering no one will give you a complete answer in here (except for a select few helpful people), I haven't attained that proper information yet, and will not start tearing things apart. So you can start to understand why these simple practices haven't been learned yet.

Um Doctors first start on cadavers etc,mechanics learn disassembly hands on..we learn the book than move on~
I am also one to think that people who want to own laser devices should start off with the basics first he-ne type
than move on up the ladder my 0.2

This is what i was afraid of when ordering a unit until i bought a "cheap" 40mw unit as i decided that it is to risky to take apart after hearing storie in here about thing like that. How long have you had the pointer for mm85?

A doctor screws up on a cadaver, and the cadaver is still dead. I screw up my $400 laser, and things suddenly look a little worse. Not trying to argue you, but I don't get the devils advocate I'm getting.

Fussy, I've had my pointer for a few weeks, and it's still just as amazing to me as the very first night I used it.

A properly built laser device should emit a nice straight beam from the aperture

I guess you own a few laser pointers you become a laser know it all!

And for your info ALL my lasers emit a nice straight beam
from the device!I will also add Crimson Red who makes laser sights for weapons are good friends of mine there units emit a very straight emission line from there devices!
