Beamshot Request: Streamlight PolyStinger Vs. Stinger LED

I am looking for a light that can throw a few hundred yards but also has a good amount of spill that I can use to illuminate my property at night in case I get a coyote or other critter coming after my animals. I looked at the Stinger LED HP but that seems to have a very high intensity, which as far as I have figured out means most of the light is concentrated in a tight beam which is why it is out of the running. The light outputs and intensities are:

PolyStinger 185 lm / 24,000 cd
Stinger LED 180 lm / 17,000 cd
Stinger HP LED 200 lm / 48,000 cd

I am leaning toward the PolyStinger but I really wanted something aluminum in case I needed to whack something with it. If anyone has beamshots of these flashlights I would really appreciate it.

well the stinger led hp still gives out a good spill...i have it and its my go to light next to my ultrastinger which is my only incan...might want to try the pelican 8060 its not aluminum but it is whackable lol

I have an incan polystinger that I used for many years. Unfortunately it is very dull now compared to some of the other similar sized incans I run.

While I really like the polystinger for non-slippery in wet conditions and ability to put a lanyard on it. Nice Bianchi holster too..., but even in small areas in industrial application it's not too bright. Maybe my bulb is shot...

I did have the UltraStinger about 10 years ago - that sucker was bright. larger head = more throw.

I have a 1AA fenix light and a 4AA fenix headlamp that work great for distances up to about 60' so I am not really worried about up close work. I want something rechargeable that can light up the field from 200+' away.

I have the Stinger DS LED HP and PolyStinger DS LED. The PolyStinger DS LED has a wider beam area than the Stinger DS LED HP.

The Stinger DS LED HP has a more ringy beam than the PolyStinger, which can be seen in the beamshots that are in the individual reviews. If you want to scan your property at night, I would go for the Stinger DS LED HP.
