Hey all!

Just thought I'd throw in a little reminder here - I have all of the TwinTasks and the Task Luxeon from Streamlight. If you want beam comparison shots - Just ask! I'll be happy to take shots of any of these lights against any others that I have (check my Reviews Index page).

I also have a beamshots page where all of my beamshot comparisons are posted:

http://thelightsite.cruxial.com/reviews/beam_comparisons.htm

If you have requests - ask here!

Here's a couple to get started:

Streamlight 4aa 7LED vs Streamlight TT 3C, 3LED
(150 lux, 65 lux)

Is there a replacement lens available anywhere for the Twin Tasks? It'd be nice to get just a little more out of the incan.

Well lets see...how about the TT "D" compared to a 2 "D" Mag or maybe a 3 "D" Mag? Incandesant beams of course. How about the TT "D"`s ten led`s against the Arc LS (put painting or other object against wall or floor...point lights straight up at ceiling (one at a time) and snap pictures...looking for total light output rather than hot spot/beam comparison). Just an idea. I really loved the way you did that group reveiw. Funtastic.

Can you put PM6 on your list too ? I am interested in how far those PM6, SL 2L, 3AA luxeon can throw approximately. Thanks!

I only have the lights you see on my reviews pages... No A2, no E2e.

I have an E2, which is essentially the same as the E2e, so that will have to do.

hanuman - PM6 = Pelican M6? I just received one, but havn't done anything with it yet. That one will have to wait a little, but it's on the list. I don't know exactly what you mean by comparing the throw. You want distance shots? I'm working on including those in the reviews from now on, but I'm not set up for it yet.

All of the beamshots requested will be whitewall shots like the ones above.

I just bought a nice immitation floral arrangement with just about every color in the spectrum in it, so I'll have subject-based beam pictures sometime soon.

I'm going to go work on them now...

Only problem is that the digicam has mostly auto settings - if I don't use the 2 lights at once, it resets the exposure, F stop, shutter speed, etc. between photos and changes them for "Optimal" picture taking under the particular lighting conditions it sees. AKA the photos wouldn't be comparable....

Re: Beamshots Comparisons: TwinTasks: DONE

Got them done early!

I have now added 11 beamshot photos to the collection, but re-creating the links to the pics here would be a real pain and since I just spent the last 2 1/2 hours taking the pics and re-building the beam comparisons page on my site, I'm just going to link you all there:

Go to the BOTTOM of the menu for the latest additions that you all requested!

Enjoy!

You're welcome! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Now, just because I managed to get that batch done, doesn't mean I'm not going to do any others! If you need any other comparisions, send an e-mail to mail [at] FlashlightReviews.com and I'll post them on the FlashlightReviews beamshots page when I can!

Re: Beamshots Comparisons: TwinTasks: DONE

Hey! Thanks Doug. The Streamlight LS puts up a pretty good fight against the Arc. In fact I`m going to order one and roll the dice on whether I get white or puke green. The Arc has a funny square beam?? Anyway, looks like the 2 "D" TT does very well against the 3 "D" Mag. Thank you again. Your site is looking really great. In fact we have decided to double your pay. So lets see...0x2=...yea, we can afford that! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks Doug! I think I'm going to save my pennies for the Twin Task 2L and 3C. Your beam shots were mighty helpful! I appreciate your doing this.

I bought a Streamlight Twin Task Light. Wasn't a real big fan of the LED, because when I want to see in the dark, I want to see far away and It didn't seem to have the distance with LED. However, I bought it from www.dtdistributors.com and they seem to be the cheapist around. I told them I saw it cheaper at another web site and they matched the price of 29.99. Don't know if that is still a bargain or not, I know I have seen them in Galls for 40 bucks. Over all I like the light it's great for close objects.
