Please forgive my shouting caps but we are stretching Don to the breaking point with all our questioning emails.

Please check the stickied threads for any information and post other questions before you email Don (except for orders of course). Hopefully some of us can answer your questions.

Re: BEFORE YOU EMAIL DON PLEASE READ STICKIED THRE

another bump

answering questions that's been asked many times get old quick.

for top notch customer service you are duty obligated to answer each and every PM or email.

Answering PM's and email takes time away from modding /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Also just as important, if you have a question, odds are others would want to see the same Q & A too.

...or better yet, read through the 12 pages in this McGizmo section of CPF. It was very informative and was actually only 4 pages back when I started. I also found answers to my own questions by surfing through CPF - It's huge and I've certainly learned a lot. A big thank you goes out to those who replied to my pms... wait that doesn't look right - PMs. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How about a FAQ stickied thread? It would certainly be less daunting for new comers than going through all the old threads.

Great idea, what's the procedure?

Re: BEFORE YOU EMAIL DON PLEASE READ STICKIED THRE

Good idea for a FAQ if someone could write it. I have become interested in the Aleph, however there is no single source for information. Even basic information like dimensions is hard to find. I have been hunting the threads to work out the Badboy and Downboy thing, and still looking. As for placing an order and know what resistor for the switch..... How would I know? They seem like great flashlights (I have a HDS Ultimate on order), but to fully understand them you really need to have been reading the threads for some time. I will not waste Don's time with question that have been asked time and time again. So I contine to look through the posts, a detailed FAQ would help all users, potential buyers and Don (not having to spend time on here answering questions).

Re: BEFORE YOU EMAIL DON PLEASE READ STICKIED THRE

Don'll probably post one here soon. The dimensional data's available in the "Aleph Dimensional Data" thread. Basically, for a 1x123 light on a Lux III, 15 ohm is the 'default' level to use, as it provides a low light that's useful. On a LuxV, 60 ohm is probably the best resistance to use to give you a 'not too bright' low level.
