My thoughts are: A 3 D Mag body, a Q2 or so SSC on a heat sink running on a DX board of around750 to 1A. Batteries will be regular alkaline or nimh at 3.6-4.5V.
When all is running, maybe the camless lop reflector and the glass rather than plastic. That's the second step. For now.
