I love flashlights. Fairly new hobby to me. I'm getting addicted. Besides that do you have another expensive hobby?

My first hobby and still going strong: Star Wars Collecting.

Watches. I am also a member of the Poor Mans Watch Forum, and sort of specialize in divers and chronographs.

4 wheeling - more expensive than all the hobbies listed so far put together. Easily over $100,000 in the last three years.

Jeep + upgrades + repairs $40,000+
Trailer to carry Jeep $3000
Camper for me and family $28,000
Truck to carry camper and pull trailer $44,000
Misc equipment $3000
All the other stuff I forgot about $???

JimH- that's the hobby that I want when I retire. I want my "job" to be wearing out Jeep tires.

When it comes to hobbies- there are the classic "big 5" expensive hobbies (not in any order):
1) cars
2) horses
3) boats
4) airplanes
5) women

Good lights are so far down the list that we can almost indulge with clear conscience.

I never looked at it that way. I guess I got lucky - I can't even imagine what the other 4 cost.

My expensive habits...

Higher education, currently working on my Master's degree.
Guns, still don't have enough AR-15s or Glocks.
Tactical gear, Cordura fetish... packs and load carrying equipment.
Knives, thankfully this one has toned down in recent years.

Randy, time to add a Springfield XD to your collection. I love my Glocks, but once I got a Springfield XD 357 Sig, I don't shoot the Glocks much any more. Just think of an XD as a super Glock.
