I am looking to play around with leds and eventually maybe build some led bulbs for a 12v solar panel setup. Looking around I see leds have all kinds of different wavelength ratings. So what led wavelength is closest to an incandescent lightbulb? any recommendations? Thank You Tom

If you see an LED with a specific wavelength it is usually a single colour. Red or amber etc. An incandescent has multiple wavelengths from red through orange to yellow.

To get an LED that matches an incandescent you should get a warm white LED. For background/accent lighting look for a CCT of 2700°K. For where you need to see better, like in the kitchen, a less yellow CCT of 3000°K or 3500°K or 4000°K would be best.
