Between the two, Which would you choose?

Well I have decided to keep my Olight M21 I was unhappy with but still have the itch for something much brighter. I was very interested in the Catapult, but am now eyeing the Eagletac M2X4C. csshih posted some beemshots and they make it hard to decide between these two. How is Eagletac`s quality?

Help me out.

I would prefer the Thrunite for the throw. And I have heard 0 bad reports about it. Or you could buy both.

I have no experience of the difference between them when it comes to lightning performance, but m2xc4 has a UI which is disputable (undistinct mode setting which too easy accidently give you strobe), but also much more complicated to change batteries with several loose details. I don't want to change batteries of m2xc4 out in the field!

I think that EagleTac is brighter, but the Olight is better if you want to make it simple and uncomplicated. Otherwise I consider EagleTac as high quality instruments.

The only thing that would keep me from the Catapult is the whine I've read some have. Maybe they all have it and some people's hearing isn't so good.
That is a tough call so as they say here......................BUY BOTH!:D

i have a M2XC4 Neutral and with a little modification (all you need is a screw driver) and the strobe can be eliminated.
for me, with a control ring, i find markings or any such distinctions to be superfluous since if you need need a flashlight, it also means you probably won't see that markings!

with battery changing (without the tail switch), changing batteries should be no more difficult than most other flashlight. not sure about when you the tail switch installed though.

but one thing is for sure, M2XC4 should be brighter than the M21 due their battery config difference.

I would go with Catapult, especially if you want a thrower. Love mine!!!

I have neither but having read reviews and threads about both I think I would go with the Catapult.

I would like to modificate my M2XC4 to avoid the strobe, but found it quite complicated when I read a thread about it.
I post a picture of M2XC4 and TK30, which shows what I mean is the clear difference of complication when one wants to change batteries. Also the bezel (red ring in the picture) which holds the rubber boot drops out every time which is annoying. Did I miss anything when I assembled the clicky switch kit?

By the way: Merry Christmas!

Strobe is easily disabled on the eagletac and changing batteries is quite easy, thought not as easy as a flashlight without a battery carrier.

to be fair... you should compare changing out two 18650 cells in the ET carrier vs 2 drop in of 18650 cells in the catapult (not 4 CR123's in the battery magazine, since the Catapult does not take CR123's)?

your clicky switch is defective and you should contact place of purchase or ET [email protected] for support/replacement.

Happy Holidays!

Unless the catapult comes in a NW version, I'd go for the Eagletac. Been drooling over it lately, despite the easy-to-trigger strobe (A common failing with Eagletac's designs; the P/T 20 series are that way too. They, at least, are getting fixed soon.)
