Questions about bezel swapping between the different Surefire E series flashlights:
I'd like to know if the bezel determines the beam pattern. I've heard that the E1 has a tighter focus than the E2. Right now, I have an E2 and I'm planning on an E1e. If I swap bezels on these, will I get a tighter beam on the E2 and a wider beam on the E1? Or is the focus all to do with the lamp assembly?

E2 and E1 are "tight" compared to E1e and E2e. Pyrex and different reflector.

In this case I think it's the bulb more than the bezel/reflector assembly. I put a E2e bezel on an E1 and the pattern didn't change much if any.

The reverse it true with my E1 & E1e - The E1e puts out a less-narrow, but still defined, brighter, whiter beam compared to my E1.

Bulbs in E1e and E1(E2e and E2) are identical. Rerflector on "elite" is about 2.5mm larger in diameter compared to "executive".

Pyrex and reflector do make the noticable difference.

E1e is whiter and brighter compared to E1, but has a more diffused beam. Same with E2e and E2.
