Bike recomendations?

My dad is looking for a bicycle to use as a tourer and town bike. He is not into mountain bikes...here is a link to the sort of thing he is after Example . Could anyone recommend a good quality bike along the same lines as this one? Unfortunately, he cannot get this particular bike, as they do not have a UK dealer! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif Any help would be appreciated!

The bike looks fine to me for casual city/country riding. It might be a bit heavy, so avoid a heavy bike if you're in a hilly area. Fenders are good in (rainy) England. Avoid front or rear suspensions: adds weight and maintenance problems.
