Yours must have a more forgiving mechanism than mine. Try as I might, I simply cannot turn mine on with the thumb. I have to curl a forefinger up and over the switch and activate it that way, like you see on this web page.

You must got big thumbs -- heh heh...

RonM,

If you add up the cost of all the gas you've burned in your futile LX search, you may find that you've actually spent more money looking for the LX than you would had you initially purchased a SF.

Anyone know how long these xenon bulbs last ? The LED Museam.....it appears your review on the legend lx is incomplete.... are you planning on doing anymore tests with it?

Don't I know it. Actually it's become something of a game for me. At this point it has nothing to do with the money. (Did I just say that?)

Forgive me for my doubt. I am now a true believer. Came home from the Sports Authority today with a Brinkman Legend LX.

Holly cow, this thing sure is bright! Lots of light and not like some other lights where brightness is accomplished with a very narrow beam. Now to search the archives for a cheap source of 123 batts.

RonM, I'm truly sorry to have to move this thread. It's done very well for itself here, but honestly, it has nothing to do with LED lights, and a lot to do with the primary topic of the "General Flashlight" forum.

May it receive as much activity there as it did here.

Empath - I fully support your decision. No problem.

Zerox - Thanks for the source. I'll look into it.

I just found a company which appears to import and resell Brinkmann lights here in Japan - specifically, the Legend LX.

I was rather surprised to see one in a shop on the weekend, so I went and looked it up. Here is their website (in Japanese..)
