I'm in the market for a few AAA or AA lights for xmas presents and saw the Brinyte PD03A.
It looks like a well made little light but I want to clarify just one thing with someone who owns one.
What is the PWM like? Is it noticeable in the lower modes, if you shake it around can you see the pulsing?

I don't use mine for shaking around to look for pulsing. I just use it to light stuff up and it works fine for that LOL.

Haha Matt,

So if you are walking along and illuminating or lighting things up do they have a strobing slow motion effect in periphery vision, does it make you nauseous?
Is it as bad as Chinese P60 module, as bad as the Leatherman S2 ?

I am getting more and more susceptible to PWM flicker, old and spoilt.

Dunno about the Chinese P60 or the S2. I have never noticed any flicker, strobing, etc. in the Brinyte and the only thing that makes me nauseous is all the money I have tied up in lights I don't use.

I suspect the critical factor may be the indivdual user's susceptibility to the PWM more than the light itself. IOW, just because I don't notice any flicker doesn't mean it is not there!

Sorry not to be more helpful.

OK, I just went into the center hall, closed all the doors, set the light to low and waved it in front of my face. Good thing nobody else is home! Anyway, I did not notice any strobing. Again, maybe my brain is too slow to notice, but that's my experience.

Best of luck!
