Bushnell HD Torch...

The square beam is produced by an aspherical lense, basically it projects an image of the die inside the led.

The Problem:
Conventional flashlights produce circular patterns of light that are non-uniform irregular “blobs” of light.

The Solution:
Innovative and patented technology provides a uniform pattern of light – from edge to edge. Resulting in a perfectly uniform square beam of light and providing High Definition Illumination.”

Whoa, finally flashlights in HD! Now I can enjoy the night in the same High Definition as I do the daytime (using HD Lenses):

Hopefully compatible with Night Vision HD wrap-arounds:

I got to play with one once at a local gunshow. I liked it alot and wouldv'e purchased it but it was kinda used and the guy was an A$$ and he wanted 90$ bucks for it.

If I were ever to come across one at a good price I'd get it. Inside the convention center it had real good throw on focus considering it was a well light indoor area.

Yes but the beam is very different from the square beams of the CREE LED's projected with an aspheric. Does it use a CREE LED or other brand LED?

It used a Phillips Lumileds Luxeon Rebel. I don't know exactly why you're commenting here but a more recent thread might be more useful to you, things have changed a lot in the flashlight world since 2011 (atleast I assume they have, I've kind of been out of the loop. I managed to break my addiction but I fear a relapse coming on).

LOL....I agree. The original poster submitted this almost four years ago. That light is probably in a museum by now!! 😉 😀

the link didnt go anywhere. I can say I got the highest end Bushnell model 1125 something or other and its horrid. Idk what the LED is its a quad emitter of some kind. Projects a big X wherever you point it.

It did not go anywhere because it was created 4 years ago. The product either changed or is no longer being made. 😀
