C3 question

Well, I got me a C3 today. The price was too good to pass up. This thing is really bright, too.

I can hear the batteries rattle in the light if I shake it. Is that normal, or should the batteries be a really tight fit?

Hrm... I have a C2 and a Z3 and they don't rattle. Could it be the tailcap screwed on loose? You're not missed and springs right?

Batteries have a slight variation in size depending on manufacturer.

Also I would guess as they heat up in use that they expand slightly.

I would not want them to heat up as they discharge and at the point I need to dump them and insert fresh batteries they are stuck.

After some messing around I found that they do rattle just a bit if you shake the light. It's more pronounced on the 3 cell variants I'd say.
