The trick is to use my "solar engine" circuit. Instead of a motor, connect my circuit's output to the 220 ohm or so bias resistor on the photoflash circuit board. Connect the photoflash battery wires accross the 4700uF capacitor. When the Solar-Engine circuit fires, the photoflash transistor kicks into oscillation and draws upon the 4700uF capacitor.

I think that's kinda cool. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif And off of a calculater solar cell is kind of amazing! The disposable camera strobe circuitry is readily available, but I lack the electrosmarts to make one automatically flash as a disposable desert "annoyer." /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
