Can someone please tell me if I can use a DB L40 battery in a camera that is specified to use a DB L50 - I have a spare DB L40 and loathe to see it not used if it could be...

:welcome:

It seems like both batteries are 3.7 V lithium ion. Does the DB-L40 fit in the camera? I can only give you a definite maybe, since I don't want your camera to go :poof:.

Your best bet is the camera maker.

yes you can, it is almost same battery just half the capacity, it will run half as long in your camera, you might have to put some paper into battery compartment cuz l40 is half the size.

The biggest complaint, digital camera battery problem is that the battery does not last long. In fact, the alkaline batteries will wear down faster than the rechargeable batteries. You can easily lose the alkaline batteries sixty to one hundred images in any digital camera.
