Can 1x123 drive an SYOM 3W using BB1000? How about using BB750?

You won't find much (electrically speaking) between the 1000 and 750 as far as regulation performance on a single 123. BOth will probably be out of regulation from the getgo.

It will be bright, but not in regulation.

If you use a R123 and a BB1000 or BB750 with the correct Vf Luxeon you could hold regulation for most of the battery life of the rechargeable lithium.

When you say "R123", did you mean rechargeable CR123 lithium? I haven't seen rechargeable CR123.
