Can 2 x cr123's be replaced by 18650?

I have this light (http://www.pelican.com/lights_detail.php?recordID=2330) and I wonder if I can replace 2 x cr123's that it uses for 1 x 18650? It will fit via dimensions but I wonder on 3 different questions:

1. will it even run?
2. will it provide same brighter or better/worse
3. what would the runtime be same/less/worse?

i'll take a stab, you definitely won't fry it as the volatage is less than 2xcr123, so most likely the light won't be as bright but will have a longer run time. The only thing that might happen is that the voltage of the battery might not be enough to kick the driver in so the light wouldn't come on. Again, this is unlikely, pop her in and give her a try (if something bad happens you have an excuse to buy a new light!)

Runtime will be better than 2x rechargeable 123 batteries. It won't fry for sure.

thanx guys. i use it to charge my watch and it dies after 75 min at. but its rated for 30 hrs? wierd
