Cap to prevent scratches?

Hello again.

I was thinking about buying the Olight M20 Premium, and just throwing it in a coat pocket, occasionally with a set of keys. Is there some sort of cap that one can place over the lens to prevent scratches?

I'm always on the lookout for any kind of plastic bottle caps, lids, chapstick caps, etc. Anything that will slip tightly over a flashlight bezel without taking up much extra space. In my case it's mostly to act as a diffuser to make a room light or mellow the beam with some color, especially red or orange. They'll work great for lens protection, too. Don't throw away that cap before seeing what it will fit.

Rubber or silicone caps for hydralic lines come in many sizes. Target shooters frequently use them for their rifle scopes. You may get lucky and find just what you need.

You can get rubber or silicone furniture leg/feet caps at most hardware stores. I've used them for years and sometimes even cut out a hole leaving a rubber rim to protect from dropping on the bezel, of course that defeats the lens scratch protection. :D

You guys are too fast for me. My friend went out and found a scope lense cover to protect his flashlight lense. I like the hydraulic line cap idea. Now I can collect those and zip ties from work and have someone get me committed!

that may be so, but we wouldn't be flashaholics if we didnt believe in being prepared for almost any eventuality :D

I find this really funny because of all the damage I've done to my EDC lights over the years I don't recall ever scratching a glass window. YMMV of course.
