OK, as parent of a 2.75-year-old and a toddler, I see more cartoons than I usually care to admit (only in my role as supervisor of their media intake, of course). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
On one episode of "Kipper the Dog" (British show), Kipper's friend Tiger brings over his new light. "It's the most powerful torch," he tells Kipper. He zaps Kipper in the eyes with it, then has him check it out ("It's very heavy," Kipper comments).
He looks for a better way to show how powerful it is, so they duck under a blanket. Then, as Kipper reads a story about a monster in the woods, Tiger demands they go camping that same night so he can show how bright his light is when it's really dark. And while they're camping, he just can't leave the light alone, constantly peeking out of the tent to blast the trees around him.
Of course, this is just a cartoon about talking dogs - none of this behavior seems true to life, does it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
