Cat Question?

Anybody know anything about cats?

I have a problem with neighborhood cats using my car as a "sandbox". This morning I saw one hanging around my car around 5:00 am [before daylight]. I came up with the bright idea [pardon the pun] of trying to discourage it with a blinding hit from a SF M6 with HOLA [and fresh batteries]. This cat did not even flinch, it just stared directly back into the bezel with pupils wide open. What is with that?

That thing looks like it would send any cat scrambling. Kind of fun when your mother-in-law walks in front of it, too.
