Caving Lamp

Hi Guys

I'm attempting to modify an old Petzl Micro that I was given some time ago to use as a Caving lamp. I want to try and fit it with LED(S) instead of just using an incandescent bulb, but I dont quite know the best way to do it. Would it be better to fit one large LED, or several small ones around the outside of the reflector.

Im not massively experiencd when it comes to wiring so any help would be appreciated
