changing color of lasers

is it possible change the (red) color of a laser.i saw in some sites that are lasers projectors that have lots of colors...

In a word, no, you can't change the color of a laser. The beam of a special "white" laser can be refracted into its component colors with a prism, but there is no way to change the color of a red beam.

I did hear once upon a time that if you submerge a red laser dioide in liquid nitrogen, it would shrink the laser matrix and shift the color towards the orange. only problem would be keeping the optics from frosting up...
