Just curious what charge rate do you use when charging your NiMh (Eneloops)? The manufactures guide says not lower then .3C and not higher than 1.0C.

Typically I half the rated capacity… eg: If I am charging a 2000mAh cell, I set the charge rate to 1000…. I guess that would technically be .5C?

Since we are discussing the C9000, do you use any of the other modes; Refresh, Cycle, Break In, and when?

For AA size, I use 1000mA rate

For AAA size, I use 500mA rate

I do the same as Burgess et al. For AA Eneloops, it's easy since the C9000 defaults to 1A (.5C), and this hits all the criteria nicely - higher than .3C, lower than 1C, batteries don't get too warm, terminate reliably, etc. I'm never in so much of a hurry that I feel the need to up the charge rate. Also, I am not so fastidious that I use the refresh, cycle, break in functions much, unless I have cell that is definitely acting up. These functions just take too long for me, hogging the charger.
