Cheap and nice watertight 18650 holder

Some times ago I ordered "Aluminium Alloy Pill Shaped Keychain" (DX sku. 27551) for no particular reason. It looked like another nice and useless gadget. Then I discovered that some 18650 cells perfectly fits inside. The only one that is too long is black/red protected Thrustfire, but this cell is almost 68 mm long. Unprotected 18650 and protected gray Trustfire fits just fine. Don't forget to put Kapton or similar tape on the bottom of the pill (on both halfs) to prevent short.

I'm always interested in hearing about new containers that hold batteries.

The last 18650 battery holder I got was also from DX here. It's not water proof but holds two 18650's or four CR123's

For those of you who are interested in this aluminum alloy pill , here is the link to the product at Deal Extreme.

I think that I would put a thin piece of foam on the top and bottom to guard against any shorts metal to metal.
