Cheap, bright, factory E27

That type of bulb has a small beam angle. A 45° beam is actually ±22.5°.
Here is a diagram showing the beam coverage at various distances.

The diagram is for a different brand Xlamp 6W 45° bulb but the specs are identical so the diagram should give you a good idea of coverage.

If you need a wider angle blasterman came across the EcoSmart available at Home Depot.

Yeah......until further notice the $20 Ecosmart seems to be the default answer. There just aren't many negative reviews about it. {shrug}

I tried to find the Ecosmart at Home Depot tonight, but no luck. I did see a bunch of Ecosmart lights, but they were all CFL. The only LED lights I found were heavy heatsinked Philips lights, and they were all well beyond $20. I looked at the lumens on those, and they were not near the 770 or around there like I had read at the link. Non were 14W, they were like 5 or 16, and the 16 watt was like $60 and still only 660 lumens or so.

Can you give me an actual model number of the light I need to look for, so I could maybe just order it?

Thanks

I have now gone to 2 Home Depots in search of this light you guys describe and found nothing.

Could you please explain to me what model it is so I can just order it?

Search "EcoSmart LED" at homedepot.com. They have a bunch of bulbs of different shapes and sizes.
