Cheap Replacement for Surefire E1e

Several years ago I was into flashlights, and bought a fair number. I had several Surefire E2E and E1E lights, but gave most away. I was left with a E2E and E1e. When my son was here Christmas he wanted the E1E so guess what dad did? Yes I am now without it.

I am wanting something to replace it in size and brightness. I would not mind it if I had one that size that was brighter. However, I don't want to pay the price for a Surefire. I noticed on ebay a Mini Cree LED 7 W, and wonder if that is a decent light? If not what would you suggest with a price less than $25.00?

For around $25 ? The Xeno AA XML would be a fun light. I have the warmwhite XML and its a great budget light.
A Solarforce L2M though bulkier than the e1e, without extender is close in length and well built IMO (in my opinion)
Solarforce with dropin is around $25-$35 depending on what your getting

you should check out the 4sevens quark 123 tactical. 205 lumens, 0.86 inch diamiter, 3.2 inch leanght, 1.4 oz, 8 modes that you can programe, 1 mode for bezel tightend, 1 for bezel loose, and best of all 1/3 the price of surefire $59.00.

That looks like a good replacement, although a little more than I wanted to pay. However, if it is of good quality that price is not expensive. I don't know anything about the Quark lights, but assume they are of acceptable quality. How do they compare with Surefire?

General opinion would suggest that 4sevens lights aren't as reliable as Surefires, but not many lights are. Of course the price isn't the same either.

I don't really expect the light to be the equal as to quality/reliability of the Surefire. However, I do not use a flashlight every day, and just wanted this to drop in my pocket when I need to go out at night, which is not normal.
Yes the price is a lot different. For my use, I do not see the need to spend the money for a Surefire. I still have one E2e which I essentially never use.
Yesterday I received a Thrunite T1. I am not sure I need anything else since it has a 60 lm output. I think the E1e was about 45, but not sure.

How is that T1 working out for you. I think the E1e is 15 lumens.
